The Island
Traders Story
I fell in love
with Beaufort, NC as a child. I knew one day I wanted to live near
the water. My wife Bethy and children, George and Ellie are happy to
call Beaufort home.
In 2001, I
started Island Traders on Front Street in Beaufort. I enjoy meeting
all the customers and many boaters that visit the store. Island
Traders has constantly changing merchandise along with our regular
inventory of t-shirts, Merrell, Keen, and Reef flip flops just to name
a few. Shoppers are always amazed to discover the treasures and deals
at Island Traders.
The scenery here is incredible! On many days it is hard to work.
What a fun way to make a living in flip flops and a t-shirt. I love
what I’m doing and I hope it comes across to my customers. I invite
